This is the second announcement of the Asteroids, Comets, Meteors (ACM) meeting, which is a few month ahead. The LOC are ready to welcome all of you for lovely place, not only by supplying an excellent conference place for high-quality scientific meeting but also by arranging a wonderful banquet with the Japanese traditional dance and a wonderful excursion to the historic house in the calm atmosphere. Here we let you know some important information.

1. Abstract deadline: 28 February(US time)

We would like you to submit your abstract asap because the deadline is close. Abstracts (one page) may be submitted for oral or poster presentation. Authors are limited to ONE request for oral presentation. The abstract submission is managed by the USRA(LPI) Meeting Portal. If you have not yet accessed the Meeting Portal, you will be requested to create a personal profile before the abstract submission. ALL abstracts MUST be converted to PDF format before submission.

2. Deadline for Financial Support Application:28 February

Although the amount is limited, we are able to support a part of the travel cost mainly for persons from undeveloped countries. Do not miss your submission to the financial support which you need an extra paper material along with the abstract submission.

3. Early Registration Deadline: 15 March

After this deadline, the registration fee will jump up. For saving your money, register now at our web site for reduced rate.

4. You need Visa? : Deadline: 15 March

If you need Visa, the deadline for applying the Visa assistance is also 15 March. The process of the Visa sometimes takes long time, so early action will be better.

5. Proceedings

The proceedings of ACM 2012 will be published as a special issue of Meteoritics & Planetary Science. The submission deadline is August 31, 2012. All papers will be subject to the normal MAPS review process.

6. A new flight between Narita and Niigata

Fortunately, All Nippon Airway(ANA), which is one of the Star alliance members, will start one round trip flight between Niigata airport and Narita International Airport from this March. If you are planning to use the Narita Airport, please consider it and ask if you can use this flight to your travel agent.

7. Registration desk open at the evening on May 15

For avoiding the crowded situation for the registration in the morning of the first day, we decided to open the registration desk from 15:00 through 21:00 on May 15 at the conference hall of TOKI Messe. We strongly recommend you to come the evening of May 15 for receiving conference materials at the registration desk.

8. All the lunch will be served. Wow!

Because the schedule of the scientific program will be tight, we decided to supply lunch box for all the participants during the meeting period. The cost will be included in the registration fee. The ticket will be supplied at the registration desk.

9. Radiation: Natural level in Niigata

Many people ask the radiation level of Niigata City. There is no concern on it. It is almost natural level because our meeting place is about 180 km from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. Please look at the following site for more information.
